Workwear collection starts from garments that were originally meant to simply do their job well.

One of them is the Chore Jacket. Born in late 19th century France as the bleu de travail, it was created with necessity at its core: a reliable layer for workers, built to endure repetition, movement, and time.

Our interpretation stays close to that origin, but translates it through materials. Japanese textiles, selected for their depth and irregularity.

Sashiko-inspired fabrics, developed through double weave structures. The pattern emerges directly from the loom: diamond-like in one version, vein-like in the other.
They reference traditional sashiko and kendogi fabrics.
Finished with a bio-wash enzyme treatment, softening the hand while opening the structure.

Then the spike version, built with large slub yarns, where irregular, thicker threads interrupt the weave.
These create random build-ups and subtle protrusions across the surface areas where the fabric gains volume, almost pushing outward.
Finished with a one-wash, keeping the fabric closer to its original state, allowing it to evolve naturally with use.

  • Fit: Relaxed boxy chore jacket silhouette, dropped shoulders and adjustable back waist tabs for free movement.
  • Fabric: Heavyweight Japanese slub fabric with coarse irregular yarns, one-wash treated to retain raw texture and natural aging.
  • Hardware: Aged copper metal buttons and back waist buckle adjustment.
  • Details: Classic utility patch pockets, reinforced stitching, uneven woven texture that develops unique patina over time.
